The measurement of outcomes is key in evaluating healthcare or research interventions inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). In patient-centred care, patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are central to this evaluation. review, we provide an overview validated, adult disease-specific PROMs developed for use IBD. Our aim assist clinicians and researchers selection measure their patient cohort. Consensus-based Standards the Selection Health Measurement Instruments database systematic reviews was primary resource used identify Search terms were ‘Crohn’s disease’, ‘ulcerative colitis’, ‘IBD’. From five included reviews, 21 shortened versions. conclusion, it does appear that any one PROM entirely suitable both clinical practice. Overall, IBDQ-32 most widely but has limitation cost, whereas IBD-Control been recommended core set.
